The Oregon Justice Resource Center filed a $1.25 million lawsuit in Multnomah County Circuit Court, on Friday, Sept. 25, against alleged Proud Boy associates Alan Swinney, Corey Wyatt and David Willis.

The plaintiffs in the case—independent journalist and photographer Melissa Lewis, former U.S Congress candidate for Oregon’s third district Albert Lee, and counter-protestors Amanda Seaver and Evelyn Bassi—cite experiences of assault, battery and emotional distress after they were sprayed with bear mace, shot with non-lethal projectiles and burned by a thrown explosive device.

The lawsuit, provided by The Willamette Week, displays photos of the defendants.

Alan Swinney is shown in full gear, helmet included, brandishing a revolver and aiming it with his finger on the trigger; David Willis aims a non-lethal AR-style rifle towards a crowd of protestors, and Corey Wyatt is shown standing amongst alt-right protestors.

There are also photos of multiple severe burns over a wide area of Ms. Bassi’s side, arms, and back. A result of being injured by a thrown improvised explosive device. Submitted documentation mentions that surgery was required to repair the damage.

The lawsuit currently seeks damages of $500,000 for Bassi and $250,000 for Seaver, Lee, and Lewis individually.

Representatives for the plaintiffs state the damages are compensation for medical bills, emotional distress, interference with daily activities and pain and suffering.

On Sept. 30, Alan Swinney was booked at Multnomah County’s sheriff office. He is currently facing 12 potential charges—ranging from class A misdemeanors to class B felonies. While Swinney is a self-proclaimed Proud Boy, with a tattoo of the same name on his forearm, The Proud Boys organization has distanced itself from Swinney and claims he is not a member.

Corey Wyatt and David Willis are not listed as booked or currently released.

While David Willis’ current whereabouts and background are unknown, Corey Wyatt is a known white supremacist in the Pacific Northwest. He is considered dangerous by local watchdog groups, due to his extensive experience as a martial artist, and involvement with previous violent crimes.
